No Pink Babies
Babies are hardly ever born pink. Why?
The first hour after birth we now think of as very important to the bounding of mother and child.
So ideally the mother takes her baby after the shoulders are born, to her breast and no one should say anything. She worked for it very hard so it is up to her to enjoy this moment to the top. In the first hour the baby should not be removed of the breast. The placenta can be born like this and the cutting can be done anytime even some days after (Lotus birth).
In looking at the baby we can observe the Apgarscore. How?
So now a lot of changes take place in the baby. The longs will work and the blood circulation changes from feeding through the umbilical cord to air exchange through the longs and feeding by the mouth.
And of course piing and pooping!!!
Why the first poop is almost black?
How many times a baby needs a wet dyper? What happens around the third day?
In and around the hart the greatest changes take place. The separation between the right and left part, and the ateria pulmonares open to 100%.
In the second week the shunt between the hart and the aorta will close. What is the name of that shunt?
So here we have a brand new baby. A midwife easily can check if this baby is in a good condition and to observe the baby is enough.
The rest of the umbilical cord has to be cared for.
The temperature should be taken.
The weight
If no ultrasound was taken in the pregnancy you should check the palatum, closed? the anus open?
The first feeding should be breastfeeding. Only another feeding should be by indication, even water should not be given without a reason.
If possible on demand to support the milk production. Which hormone is involved?
The baby will have jaunache and that can be pathology. Jaunache within 24 hours is not normal.
What can be the reason?
When the jaunache is high this can be a problem for the small brains. Sunlight or light therapy is indicated and a lot of breastfeeding.
Why is the jaunache after 48 hours normal?
So everything goes well and then you will check the baby’s weight again with 4 days and I do not know if this happens in Brazil otherwise we check the baby on phenylketonurea and other congenital diseases. In Portugal the baby will be vaccinated for Hepatitis B and tuberculoses.
