Contractions: What Are They and What Are They For?

As the name implies, contraction means that something is contracting, and the organ that contracts is the uterus.

It has a format similar to a birthday balloon and inside it there is the baby. The place where we give the corresponding node in the balloon corresponds to the cervix and the air inside the bladder corresponds to the amniotic fluid. As a birthday balloon is made of a plastic material, the uterus is made of a sturdy muscle that contracts to push the baby’s head against the cervix and thus help to open this (expansion) to the output of baby.
